Ticket Policies
Thank you for your interest in learning about our ticket policies.
We strive to offer exceptional customer service. If you have questions, please call our Box Office at (415) 621-7900 or send a message to info@americanbach.org. Note that we may not be able to return calls or respond to messages within less than 24 hours.
Our ticketing terms and conditions may be changed at any time, and revisions will be applied to all future transactions or requests.
All sales are final; there are no refunds. Dates, prices, programs, artists, and productions are subject to change. If you are unable to attend, please consider donating or giving your ticket(s) to friends or family. Exchanges are available to subscribers only (see below). If American Bach has to cancel a performance for any reason, we will offer full refunds.
Patrons agree to receive email marketing communications from American Bach. You may unsubscribe from our message, but you will not subsequently receive any notifications about future performances. We cannot resubscribe your email address; you must do that by clicking here.
By purchasing a ticket, patrons agree to follow all health and safety protocols as may be deemed appropriate by local government health agencies and all signage posted at events. Audience members who fail to follow the safety protocols will be promptly removed from the performance venue.
Exchanges for Subscribers Only
If you cannot attend a performance for which you have previously purchased subscription tickets, you may exchange them for another performance in the current season’s subscription series only by communicating with our box office at least 48 hours prior to the performance that you cannot attend. All exchanges are subject to availability, and any price differential will apply when exchanging for a higher-priced performance or seat location. You will not receive a refund for the price differential when exchanging for a lower-priced performance or seat location.
Exchanges are not available for December Holiday concerts or New Year’s Eve concerts.
If you are unable to exchange your tickets, call the Box Office at (415) 621-7900 at least 24 hours prior to the performance to return tickets for a possibly tax-deductible donation. We will not provide you with a donation acknowledgment, but you can use the ticket receipt that you received for your personal accounting. Ticket donations are not treated as cash gifts and do not apply toward annual giving levels or membership benefits. We do not offer tax-deductibility advice. For questions, please consult your tax advisor.
Lost Tickets
If you have misplaced your tickets, call the Box Office at (415) 621-7900, and we can reissue them via email only. Note that your original (lost) tickets are still valid, and once tickets for a particular seat are scanned, we cannot honor duplicates. Your tickets have value, so keep them safe.
Presenting your Tickets
All tickets purchased in advance contain a QR code or bar code, which will be scanned by our ushers. You may present your tickets and codes through whatever delivery method you chose. If you opted for postal delivery (extra charge applies), we will scan the tickets that you received in the mail. If you opted for email delivery, you may present either a printout of your ticket confirmation email message or you may present the email as displayed on your smart device such as a mobile phone.
Late Seating
We open our venues no less than 45 minutes before the start of a concert. Late seating is at the discretion of the Artistic and House Management staff. In some cases, it could be within the first 15 minutes of a performance, but in other cases, it might be much later. Please plan your arrival accordingly.
Prices and Fees
Ticket prices are subject to change. Prices may be higher at the door, so order early for the best seating and prices. Service charges and per-ticket fees apply to all purchases except subscriptions. Extra tickets purchased by subscribers, while sold at the subscription rate, are also subject to service charges and per-ticket fees.
Respect and Community
We value the patronage of all who purchase tickets for our events and strive to maintain the value of each ticket buyer's performance experience. We request that audience members silence their personal devices. Audience members who disrupt the performance may be asked to leave the venue.
