ELISABETH ENGAN (soprano)
enjoys a varied career, with a repertoire that includes music
from the middle ages to the present. Critically acclaimed
for both her versatility and the purity of her sound, she
is active as both an oratorio soloist and a chamber musician.
She has performed and recorded with Theatre of Voices, Magnificat,
Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra, and is one of only two women
to have sung with Chanticleer. She holds a particular interest
in the music of Bach, and has been heard in concert with the
American Bach soloists, the California Bach Society, the San
Francisco Bach Choir, the Sonoma County Bach Society, and
the Bach Aria Group in New York. Ms. Engan has recorded for
Harmonia Mundi, Koch International, Reference Recordings,
and the Musical Heritage Society.
